CONJUNCTIONS

Conjunction is a term used in positional astronomy . It means that, as seen from some place (usually the Earth),
 two celestial bodies appear near one another in the sky. The event is also sometimes known as an appulse.

1.6 day old waxing crescent Moon and Mercury
side by side in the evening dusk 10deg above the horizon at 10PM on the 6th of May 2008.

Venus has pulled further away from Jupiter and this shot is almost a mirror of the shot below 
except the planets are reversed.
